HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT OMELET

Is there a breakfast more classic than a good omelet? Fill with your fave fillings like veggies and meat, and top with avocado slices for the perfect combination of protein, carbs, and good fats. Recipe and photo courtesy of Alex Snodgrass, the Dallas-based foodie behind The Defined Dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • salt and pepper, to taste

  • 8 inch skillet with lid

  • coconut oil spray (or any clean cooking spray)

  • desired filling

Instructions

  1. Heat an 8 inch skillet over medium heat

  2. Meanwhile, whisk together 2 eggs with salt and pepper

  3. When skillet is warm, spray with cooking spray. Pour eggs into the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Cover and let cook on low until eggs have set and cook through, about 3-5 minutes

  4. Slide egg onto a plate and place desired filling on one side of the omelette. Fold in half and enjoy!
