What is Abundio's Fit Society?

AFS is a boutique private personal training studio catering to Fort Worth's finest who enjoy a distraction free atmosphere. Unlike a typical open gym setting, we only allow clients to join if they are training with a personal trainer.

Can I get a membership to use the gym to workout on my own?

No. In order to keep an intimate and boutique atmosphere, we do not provide open gym memberships. Active personal training clients with their monthly dues have access to use the lounge rooms as well as cardio equipment immediately prior to or after their designated appointment. Otherwise, AFS offers by appointment only sessions.

Can I stop by to check out the studio and talk to someone?

Of course! We'd love to give you the grand tour! We want to give you the best experience and our undivided attention, so it's best to schedule a time by contacting us to stop by for a visit as we are by appointment only and hours/team availability change with session schedules.

Can I try out a personal training session before committing?

Yes, we offer a complimentary first assessment and session, so that you can preview the AFS difference and make sure you love the personal trainer we have matched you with! Contact us to submit an inquiry.

Can I workout if I'm a beginner, pregnant/just had a baby, or if I have a recovering/chronic injury?

While all of our programs can be designed to cater to all fitness levels, please speak with your physician to see what activities you're cleared for and contact us in advance to discuss any necessary modifications and determine which program would be best for you. Ultimately, please be careful and listen to your body!

What are your rates?

All clients pay monthly dues of $80 per 4 weeks on autodraft to AFS. Each personal trainer has their own session prices that you pay them directly for and packages can be found on their bio pages. Typically, clients pay every 4 weeks for the estimated amount of sessions. Please check out our Personal Training page for more info.

Why is there monthly dues if you don't allow people to use the gym area on their own time?

The monthly dues get invested directly back into elevating your client experience that includes but is not limited to: maintenance and purchase of equipment, continuous cleaning and sanitization of facilities, amenity enhancements and providing a 1:1 private luxe training environment, as well as other miscellaneous resources for improved experience and training programming.

How do I get started?

Head on over to our contact page to submit an inquiry. Someone from Team AFS will contact you to get to know you a little better, answer questions you have, setup a tour and match you with a personal trainer best fit for your goals. You'll then complete a complimentary assessment and session to make sure you love your matched personal trainer! If you're ready to begin, you'll create an account with your contact and billing information in our secure and encrypted business management software, MindBody Online. We'll process your monthly studio fee autopay. You can then discuss with your trainer the best training schedule and package based on your goals and pay for those sessions directly to the trainer.

How often should I come?

That depends entirely on your goals, which you and your personal trainer can analyze and set a program to achieve those goals. Our clients typically come 2-3 times per week.

What should I wear?

Nothing too tricky here, just be ready to sweat in a modest and clean athletic outfit with supportive shoes that allows for easy movement!

Should I eat before I come?

Most nutritionists recommend eating something 30-60 minutes before a session to give you enough energy to make it through the workout and the protein to build and tone muscles. Just make sure you don't get too full. Try something that's in the 200-300 calorie range and includes some sugars, carbs, and protein. And make sure to hydrate!

What do I need to do when I arrive?

Upon every arrival, make sure you have water, grab a towel and place your belongings in the allotted cubbies. If you're a few minutes early, you can wait in the lobby, find a spot to stretch out or get warmed up on cardio equipment.

Are there lockers, showers and other amenities in the studio?

We have cubbies for your belongings, fully stocked showers and steam rooms with all of the luxury amenities you'd need to go from your workout to conquer the rest of your day. We also provide complimentary bottles of water, water refill stations, and towels.

Can I bring my kids/pets and leave them in the lobby?

We love that you want to share AFS with your whole family, but unfortunately, we can't be liable for anything left in our lobby area and want to ensure all of our clients have an enjoyable visit.

What are the studio etiquette policies?

We are an upscale fitness studio and are dedicated to maintaining an atmosphere where each client can feel relaxed, comfortable, and respected. We ask that clients always be courteous and respectful of others in sessions taking place, including not being overly loud when training, remain in full control of equipment at all times and return to it's appropriate location once finished, when using equipment and showers be finished prior to closing time, dress in a modest and professional manner, and please no food or drinks besides water in studio space.

What is your late cancellation policy?

Typically 24 hours, but each personal trainer has their own unique policies. Please reach out to your individual trainer to get their information.

What happens if I miss a session?

Weekly time slots are reserved specifically for you. If sessions are missed, they do not roll over to the next month and makeup sessions are not guaranteed and based upon availability. Additional sessions can be purchased to guarantee another time slot. At times, it might be necessary to close due to weather conditions, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. Fees are not refunded, cancelled, or subject to makeup sessions.

How do I pause/cancel my auto-drafts?

Please contact us along with your trainer prior to your next auto-draft and we will get it updated for you. Please note that a 2-month minimum is required for pauses and that weekly time slots are not reserved unless monthly payments continue or otherwise will be released. For clients who choose to discontinue and rejoin at a later time are subject to current rates and availability upon return.

Do you have group classes?

We have in the past been known for our several group class modalities under one roof. As of 2020, we are focusing solely on offering personal training and therefore no longer offer group classes.
